This 8 hour seminar covers up-to-date 
information on how to care effectively for those who have a dementia related illness. It is the required seminar for those pursuing Certified Dementia 
Practitioner (CDP®) certification.

  • California State Assembly Bill 1570 which requires all direct care staff who work in any statewide Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) to be trained on dementia specific care needs

Wendy Deras is a Master’s prepared RN with over 20 years of teaching experience. She is both a National League of Nursing Certified Nurse Educator as well as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health Therapy. Most recently, she became certified as a trainer by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners to offer the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Seminar, a mandatory class to apply to be a Certified Dementia Practitioner
